(Paul P. Harris, January 1911)

Message From Founder: Rtn. Mark Burchill
Greeting to you from the Rotary Means Business Fellowship headquarters in the USA.
Over the past two years, we have seen India take the lead in embracing business networking through Rotary Means Business. RMB ties us back with the roots of Rotary.
In 1905, Paul Harris and three business associates began meeting for the purpose of sharing business information and helping each other succeed. It was not until three years later that Rotary began shifting its focus to service.
By the early 2000’s Rotarians near San Francisco, California USA felt it was time to reintroduce business networking to Rotary. In 2004, they formed the first Rotary Means Business group. It took another nine years, until 2013, before the phenomenon of Business networking with in Rotary achieved full and enthusiastic support by Rotary International. In that year, the Rotary Means Business Fellowship was approved , and RMB began our worldwide expansion.
Our first Indian chapter was Coimbatore, followed in 2016 by Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Mysore, Delhi and Erode. As of the end of March 2019, India has 19 chapters, more than anywhere expect the USA (with 26 chapters.)
Rotary Means Business’ Mission Statement is: Rotary Means Business encourages Rotarians to support the success of their fellow Rotarians by doing business with them and by referring others to them.
We believe that Rotarians who are successful in their business will have more resources to support their Rotary clubs and their communities. This has been proven time and time again in communities around the world. The days when Rotary discouraged talking about your business are long gone. Rotary International now understand that a successful business networking platform like Rotary Means Business can be an effective tool for both recruitment and retention of Rotarians. I strongly urge each RMB Member to invite an associates who they fell would be a good Rotarian to experience a Rotary Means Business Meeting, RMB can be the gateway to Rotary membership, again your club some valuable members.
Once again, I offer my congratulations or gratitude to all that yo have done to make Rotary Means Business a Success in India, and especially in Ahmedabad.
Mark Burchill- Chair, Rotary Means Business Fellowship

Message From Chartered President: Rtn. Prashant Ajmera
As the Founding Chair of RMB Ahmedabad chapter. it gives me immense pleasure in writing this message for the first issue this bulletin.
On 16th September,2017, we started the first RMB fellowship group of Gujarat which comprised of Rotarians from various Rotary clubs in Ahmedabad.
The aim of this group was to network and refer business to each other. Within the span 16 months, this group has not only grown but instilled the passions and spirit of Rotary in each of it’s members. We have became a close-knit family who not only do and refer business to each other but also encourage our fellow Rotarians to give their best. We do not classify ourselves as belonging to this club or that club but just Rotarians who uphold and practice the true ethos of Rotary.
I encourage all new members joining the chapter to take sometime out and explore the wonderful world of Rotary International and its 114 years old agency. To increase fellowship within the chapter, it is essential to not only network and refer business but also known each other on a more personal level. Attending regular meetings and arranging 1-2-1 sessions with fellow chapter members is a must if we aspire to reach our full potential as Rotarians and RMBians.
I would like to congratulate chair Rtn. Anil Singh and his team for undertaking this wonderful initiative to showcase the achievements and activities of RMB Ahmedabad Chapter.
Within a short period of time we have more than 15 chapters all over India and more are expected to be formed in the near future. Out district also plans to start RMB chapters in Jaipur and other cities of Rotary District 3054.
It goes without saying that RMB can be a great tool to attract new and young Rotarians.
It is one avenue that can help Rotary not only to grow but become a more dynamic or diverse.
